Leslie Frierman Grunditz

A graduate of California College of Arts and Crafts in the late 1970s, she has made art a central part of her life ever since. Years spent living in Sweden introduced her to a collection of Victorian scrapbooks from her mother-in-law that continue to inspire her work. She blends antique, surreal imagery with a fascination for rockets, robots, and mathematical symbols, creating artwork distinguished by its dark humor and playful imagination.
